Not bad, and the big game hunter girl can pull double duty as "Piper" from fallout 4.
Is any one making those Gaz-Tigr cheaper yet?  :D

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

If you're willing to travel to Russia, then yes, sure, they go for like 5ru. :(

* Edit: may have just noticed that I posted the Fallout WIP models, but left out the Stalker ones. Bah! I'll do that after work tonight, its just a mercenary in a winter parka really, I'll probably scrap the others for being crap. =P

This thread has been a huge inspiration for my own figures.

Youknow when you start making a ruined shed but wind up making a cottage instead? Yeah...

Originally the intent was to cover the walls in plaster on the outside, but I think I'll leave the bare planks and just paint those red. That's three cottages now, though this is the first with one of thos weird roofs you see out in Eastern Europe.

Almost a year and I'm still short of a full village table. I'll get there eventually folks (just so long as I don't start yet another bloody video game miniatures blog). :(

Great to see this project still trundling along. Fantastic looking cottage by the way. Really love your scenery.

Now that's a house to be proud of! Lovely roof peak too! 8) 8) 8)

Yeah leave the plaster off, the timber is too nice! If you wanted to plaster why not use thick cardboard (Eg mounting card) and plaster on that. It would be quicker than individual planks, and look fine once covered.

Cheers
Matt

That thing ate up all the corrugated plastic I bought yesterday (in other words what little the shop had). I had to just ask the guy to buy in as much as he could. ...I could use corrugated card yes, but its not as good for complicated surfaced. =/

The plaster would be torn off to show the planks beneath, aye, otherwise I'd have just used a blank sheet for the walls. I'll leave it off in the case of that building (the gaps between the boards would be a pain with the clay).

Here, have another one.

Oh, and of course I'll be sticking furniture into each of these. Its just difficult to paint the things with that junk in there. :)

Holy shit that cottage is beautiful ._.

The ruined one.. Yea, a bit too drafty for my tastes. I mean, I like to sleep cold but exposure to radiation and rain?
Nah.

Seriously, get yourself on the property market for imps.
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

Huh, I wonder if this site ships to the UK?

http://voenmodel43-48.webasyst.net/shop/

...Or if the shipping is horendous?

TLDR; want cheap Russian diecasts? Well hell, there's your lot.

I'm about to start painting one of the cottages, youknow, whilst I'm not searching the internet for more crap to add to the backlog. ;)

Any chance of a scale pic of that truck next to a fig?

Those aren't mine, I haven't bought anything from that site yet as I need to confirm that they ship to the UK. They're 1/43rd, so about as large as you can go with 28mm before they look too silly.

For reference, these are 1/43rd scale vehicles.

The houses are awesome! If they ship to EU the Truck would be a great base for a Fallout truck as well. Just replace the Cap for a perfect fit.

Well if you want to sculpt up a new cab from scratch that is. ...That's a lot of milliput. :D

Currently I have that first cottage painted up, though I'm at work so it'll be tonight when I post it. The ruined one is still being worked on, but it should have some paint on it tonight.

Besides that the plan's to see how much filler terrain I can finish for a game on Saturday. At least the two buildings, but there's also some bits of stone wall, maybe another ruin and, if it turns up in time, the possibility for a T-72 (which may be a wreck or, given my opponent is taking a Challenger tank, though I have a crap ton of soldiers with RPG-7s, could be turned into one of those semi-modernized ones the Ukrainians use). ...Which reminds me to check up on that Ebay auction I'm in for three Soviet tanks/ APCs (to use as wrecks).

So aye, we'll see how things go, but expect me to pop my head in later with something or other. :)

Thanks for the pic, the van looks a lot better than the car I think, but the thick base helps. I've had a bit of trouble with 1/43rd and the whole box scale conundrum, so if you do buy from that site, i'd owe you one if you were to post comparisons!
