Wargames Factory native Americans!!
« on: January 01, 2015, 12:31:14 PM »
happy new year everyone. WGF have just released the first images of their new set: Native Americans which can be used throughout the 17th through 19th century (in some cases you will want to keep the muskets out)

One of them's wielding a lightsaber o_o

They look useful for conversion possibilities though.

They look nice albeit a bit fiddly.  Looks like only one is in a firing position so apart from all the yipping and yelling the skirmish line is pretty weak  ;)

Given the hassle finding Native Americans without muskets, these are a welcome addition!
So many projects..... so little time.......

There look to be 2 firing arms.

Some of the poses look good, but quite a few still look rather goofy (the high stepping guy, and the double-handed axes), which is often a bit of a problem with WF plastics.

But its a new range for plastics which is always good.

Very nice indeed. I for one am impressed with Wargames Factory, they have improved with each set they release and I reckon they can hold their heads high in the market these days. Excellent value too. Top marks from me.

I'm eyeing these to kit bash PA minis.

Cheap...plastic...heaps of bits.  Yep, I'm in.  Heck I may even try to pass some of these off in the Old West (or at least steal a bunch of bits and do some kit-bashing with them).

There is some silliness there as with all plastic kits it seems...but I'm pretty pleased.  Would like to see closer pics of the minis --- particularly with good paint.

Well, although there are a couple of awkwardly assembled miniatures there, I think that this is a fantastic looking set, well proportioned, with carful assembly nd painting I think these would be top notch. I also like the basket hilted claymore, I think it's the kind of highly prize weapon that would have sometimes been captured or traded. Plus you would not need to feel you had to use everything just because it's in the set

Front rank do some with bow and war club, but they scale big as I bought some to use alongside gw miniatures.

They do look so good, really tempted, even though I don't game anything in this period.
