The Witcher
« on: January 04, 2015, 09:41:02 PM »
I've played the games (The Witcher and The Witcher 2) recently, and they inspired me to do this crude and quick conversion piece of Geralt of Rivia, the main character. As I used old WHFB plastics, he's much more chunky than he should be, and some of the putty work is a bit rough, but I'm still quite happy with the little fellow. C&C welcome!

For those not familiar with the franchise, here's the inspiration:

fwiw, FFG has The Witcher miniatures, but you're obviously not going to buy the game just for one mini!

I'm guessing it's also soft boardgame plastic.

Thanks for the comments! Undercoated the mini yesterday so will slap some more paint on today. Those FFG minis actually look quite nice, although the soft plastic gives me chills...

That is a SPLENDID conversion. You've definitely captured the "armed to the teeth" look of the conception art. He will look OH-SO-COOL all painted up.

Nice one! Besides, the board game is 32mm scale, the diference is little too much (I currently have those minis on my workbench). Nice work, I'll be keeping an eye! :)

Too bad you can't get replacement single miniatures from FFG.
