Quick desert table for Saga C & C
« on: January 05, 2015, 08:43:14 AM »
I started my projects for 2015 and made this yesterday. It took about four hours to make. It's for 15mm figures, so the dimensions are 2' x 2' for the table and I'll be playing with halved distances.
Nothing too fancy just 10mm thick mdf board covered with sand and then painted. The same formula as with my gladiator board I made last spring. I decided to make the table in four pieces, so I can easily transport it in my old army transport pack. The palm trees are from china and the mud brick houses are from Kerr & King. The rest is just fiber board, foam board and sand. The palms are magnetized.

It could be much better with more time invested, but I'm quite pleased with it for four hours work.
I think I should paint some Muslims and crusaders next.

Kiitos ja moi!

Looks nice.

Now paint some miniatures and show us on that table.  ;)

Nice! Two friends, my wife, and I are all painting up 15mm forces for Saga C&C. It's nice to see someone else doing it in 15.

I built a purpose-made table to play regular dark ages Saga, and at 2x2 it's a bit tight for a 4-way battle but it works.
