Christmas Crib - Father & Son school project
« on: December 09, 2014, 08:56:04 AM »
Hi Guys, uncertain as to whether this is the right spot for this, but here goes. My youngest had a Christmas Crib family school project to start and complete within a week. He is also involved in sports so the schedule was even tighter for him and as we have plenty of war-games materials threatening to collapse the house we decided to use some up. Looking online we found an image of a house style from the period and went with that as our structure/plan. The figures are a real mix of stuff from various ranges including some Bushido, LOTR and classic D&D. Most of the figures were previously painted/part painted and were chosen for their less aggressive poses. (The exception being those unruly shepherds, who were "hidden" indoors.)

Overall I think he did a great job, marking out the bricks and painting it up (apart from some base spray painting by me) I was also called in as chief cutter.

So, do you have similar "Time of year projects" that you can post up to this thread and get a bit of a Christmas spirit going?

Nice work.

While nothing Biblical, I have Wargames Supply Dump's "Santa Claus Wars" set that I really should paint for this year.
