I was just wondering how one goes about getting a copy of these rules, as I can't find them anywhere.

They used to be available on Silent Invader's store site, but apparently not now.  :?

Drop him a PM, or wait for him to chip in here with his excuses as to why it isn't available.   ;)

I'll wait for his thoughts haha. I lobe Lion Rampant, but it isn't scratching my WoTR itch very well.

I am a fan of the rules, need to see if I still have them saved in my files.

All I know of them so far is what I've read from Captain Blood's AAR's

Hello chaps

By Arrow Bill & Sword is still available - just from a different place.

With the recent UK digital downloads VAT complications, to avoid any potential for hassle I took all of the rules (even though they are free) out of the store.

The ABS rules are now hosted by my personal project website, via this page here:

http://www.silentinvader.uk/index_w_abs_index.html

There's not much content there at the mo but you will find the download link.

 :)
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

I've downloaded a copy to read later on tonight- good bedtime material rules are (for me anyway  lol).

Seriously though, I'm really looking forward to reading them.

One question, would the rules work for multi based (square) bases?

Darrell.

Reading rules sends me to sleep!  lol

Would they work for multi-based forces? Hmm. Well they're very much written for single-based minis with casualties removed.  That said for speed we sometimes calculate shooting and fighting on a unit vs unit basis (rather than one versus one, just sum group versus group, which will likely give a different casualty result - Higher or lower - but as long as all players agree that's fine for me) though you'd need a method of tracking casualties .... Perhaps some sort of counter.

Could I easily convert the casualty removal to having vignette markers for casualties?

Darrell.

Possibly.  We often play with mixed units (MAA, bows, bills) though units can also be split into troop types of that is what is desired. A vignette would work as a casualty indicator if it identified how many men and of what type on the base are still effective (obviously if your bases are each of the same troop type then you only need to be concerned with keeping track of the losses).

Thanks mate  8).

If all else fails I could always paint up two armies  lol.
