Floor Plans for Victorian Adventures
« on: December 16, 2006, 10:09:45 PM »
Hello everybody, I am new to this forum and wondered if anybody has an idea for 28mm Floor Plans for Vicrotian adventures. There are heaps of Dungeon floor plans on the web but I haven't found anything "not fantasy or SF" and usable to depict the interior of Victorian houses, places, streets, rooftops etc etc.

Cheers

Hello,

Perhaps the most similar would be the Confrontation tiles made by Rackham. They have roof, streets, taverns, cellars.caverns, etc.
The two tiles with the wooden piers are interesting for an adventure in the Thames river.

On the other hands the tiles from the game Hibrid are wonderfull for cellars and catacombs, specially the kind of adventures like Young Sherlock Holmes fighting the Rametep or perhaps against Moriarty...

Regards

As well as that, the floor plans from "Warhammer Quest", although a bit "dungeony", might do the trick, even if they´d work best for London Sewers or  Scottish Castles.

The ones Grimm are referring to are called Halls of Horror. They were a boxed set of tiles made by GW back in the late 1980's.

I imagine they are exactly what you are looking for. They comprise various differeint rooms tiles, a kitchen, ball room, study, large hallway etc. There is also a conservatory, laboratory etc. I think there were also separate tiles representing furniture pieces etc.

I have a set, but am not sure if I want to sell them just yet. I have no idea what they are worth. Try Ebay. If you are unsuccessful I guess I could try and scan them onto a pc and Email them to you.

I'm sure you could start out with the floor plan from the "Clue" boardgame.

Malamute, it would be cool if you could make photos or scans of the Citadel floor tiles. I'd like to see them all.
For a box in collectors worth condition you should be prepared to pay some pounds. A used one, with small damages or the packaging or 1 tile missing, you can get for a very reasonable price.

don't use any blank space in the file names.

I got copies of the very old GW-floorplans (form the 80'somethings) from Matakishi - and I have scanned them  8) . You can see them in his dungeonblocks and tombblocks sections on his website. These are not the Victorian ones, but some dungeonfloors of a kind (square slates in grey or yellowish-brown)

I can send them by mail, if anyone likes it.

I can also scan in some floorplans from Advanced Heroquest if somebody would like it (and maybe I have some more old stuff lying around).

In the Sci-fi department, I have Tyranid Attack (very gooey - depicts the insides of a Hive Ship) and Space Hulk Classic.

Just drop me a mail if you want some - and allow for a couple of days to get it done
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

As the dust settled from me pulling out Advanced Heroquest for Pete, I realized that I was also looking at a box containing Warhammer Quest. I guess I have that, too

So, I can also scan in those floorplans, should anyone require me to do so. I promised Pete to do the AHQ over the weekend, so any other projects will have to wait, I'm affraid.

If somebody needs it I could scan the floor tiles of the Hero Quest extensions...

Argonor, please email me the Citadel floorplans!

Somebody remembers the "Labyrinth" from Ravensburger?
I always wanted to do use it for a miniature game but couldn't think out some good rules.

Hey Arganor, whatever you get done is cool. What do you want in exchange?

I don't think I want anything in return.... maybe in the future you'll have something interesting to share. Just now, I cannot get an overview of what I might need.

Some sample characters for Glore! Pirates!, maybe, along with a sneak peek of the rules, when they near completion.

Did I mention that I'm a sucker for naval action (aaaaaarrrrrr....) ?
