cheers guys!

Obsidian3d; I needed basing that would fit in with either of the 2 boards we had at our club many years ago. One was sand/desert based and the other was urban. Hence grey-beige
and no grass flock.

The patches of grey and sand are purely just random

Today it's a marvel 10th anniversary set hulk in his original grey glory

do you strip the hero clix before painting or paint over?

It's a mixture rollntider, while I'm cleaning up mould lines
I decide. If the paint isn't thick then I just wash and undercoat.
With the ones where the paint is so thick as to be obscuring
detail I strip them.
I've noticed a lot of the newer figures aren't as bad as the older
Series.

Your paint on Puck looks good, but I personally hate that version of him. The older one standing on his hands is much better in terms of sculpting and proportion. The new one looks like an angry little kid with a moustache.

I mentioned the other puck in reply to obsidian3d,

I've dug him out of my figure cases. This is the one from 'mutant mayhem' a much better
pose, quite a bit bigger than the 'invincible iron man' set one. I painted it when the set came out, so it's a fairly old paint job, I'd improve the flesh if painting it again.

Before I went to see avengers assembled I re-watched the avengers movie. I was inspired to
dig out Loki from the 'avengers movie' heroclix set and repaint him.

Today it's a repainted Catwoman. This is the "unique" version from the very first DC set
"Hyper time"
