As promised in my Armies thread, here are some shots from yesterday's "A Bridge Too Far 1949" game. We had 9 players, 2 Americans, 2 British, 3 German and 2 Russian. I'll be a bit more specific when I'm not so tired.  o_o

Much more to come...

Wait how did the Russians end up here? This is one hell of a game how many figures in total were used?

No idea on the figure count sorry, I'd hazard a guess at 500+? The Soviets arrived on the train, we had to include them, what with it being SOTR.  :D

More shots:

Second best shot of the day; Oddball in the American Medium mech takes out the Russian Train!

Still more to come...

Love the German Drop Mech conversion. Who makes the Centurion?

I bought the Centurion from ASAM in the UK. http://www.asam.co.uk/

It was a pig to put together (no instructions) and is white metal, but the end result was well worth it.

And it was 75 pounds plus delivery. You can double that and they assemble and paint it for you.

I found it during my desperate search for 1/48 centurion - rare as hen's teeth.
There are very few problems in the world that cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives

If you're still on the lookout for 1/48 Centurion models, it's still possible to find the otherwise long oop Aurora one on eBay (they all tend to be in the States though & rather confusingly, the model is sometimes listed as 1/4 scale - don't worry, it. Isn't)
It's a model of an earlier mark (probably a V, armed with a 20 pdr rather than the 105 of your version) & while not the greatest kit, isn't bad for a gaming model, plus it could pass for a Mk III which went into service in 1948 & hence falls into SotTR's timeframe.

Still plenty more to see:

"How do strafing runs work again?"

The mighty Centurion has its turret blown clean off!

That's it for now. There will be a write-up and some more photos, but you'll have to wait a little while for those.

The irony is one of those kits came up on ebay two days after I ordered mine. Much grousing was had.

But if it looks like that, I think I'm much happier with mine :)

Now just to finish painting it and the other 12 vehicles, 3 guns, 1 plane and about another 60 odd troops. o_0
