How-I-did AND PAINTED a thatched timber framed house - update
« on: February 05, 2015, 05:52:13 PM »
Hi guys,

I've posted a 'how-I-did' on house building on my blog. It's pretty straight forward, but someone might find it useful.

A very nice building.

Thanks for taking the time to post the WIP photos.
I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

Nice tutorial. Keen to see the painted article.  I notice that you glue the window frames on the outside rather than cut out the window and and insert the window frame flush with the wall.  Obviously this speeds up the process but how does it look in the finished article?

These are the first timber framed I've done using War Bases windows and doors. But they looked OK on these buildings I use for the Great Italian Wars.

Here's the how I painted it. Grannies and eggs, but someone might find it useful.
