Result!
 8)

Will have to see if I can track some of them down.
They will certainly prove useful at some point, no doubt.

Thanks for the tip-off.

Very cool. I want to get some of those tyres now. They seem to be a great source of quick terrain that you could pack away easily.

I hadn't thought of that, but yes they would make quick easy scatter terrain/cover, or to add to bits of existing terrain, or to join up separate sections of barricade.

I've gathered some clutter to add to the interior of the wall.  Just placed in position before painting commences:

That's the build of the tyrewall pretty much completed before painting for the final entry now.  Just need to make the fireball/flames.

Looks great. The clutter really brings it to life :)

It's amazing how much the addition of some apparently random objects instilled life in the build!

Fire!

I've now built the flames to be thrown:

I first stuck a length of florists wire onto a 2p coin, ensuring the wire was at the correct angle to match up with the end of the weapon.  The coin was to add a bit of weight so that it sat up the right way and didn't overbalance.  I then threaded pieces of clump foliage onto the wire, glueing it as I went.  I worked from the larger fireball, with gradually smaller pieces towards the barrel end of the thrower.  Once that had dried out I soaked the whole thing in PVA glue, slightly thinned with water so that it would soak into the clump material.  This is a rather messy process.  It was then left for a couple of days to completely dry out.

I will spray paint it a more suitable colour next, then finish off blending yellow/orange/red for the flames.

That's the build pretty much completed.   8)

Nice work - I am half way building a smoke grenade the same way. I can attest it is a messy process and takes days to dry, but it'll be worth it.

This build is a little bit Road Warrior, a little bit sexy.

Effective looking flames, mate.
 8)

I find that a dousing in cheap superglue adds solidity and takes drybushing rather nicely.
It is what I do to clump foliage on my buildings.
An easier option if you still have a few 'soft' areas.
