Perry plastics conversions
« on: February 01, 2015, 01:32:45 PM »
Thought I'd share a WIP

These took a painfully long time but I'm quite pleased with them. Here I have attempted to bring these minis from the late 15c to early 16c by sculpting skirted coats typical of the period.

They will eventually be a mixed unit of French missile foot.

Any more ideas of what I could do to Tudorise these plastics?

Thanks

Stuart

Great work with the Green Stuff Stuart.

Have you ever toyed with the GW 'Empire' heads? They are a whisker too large for the Perry plastics - but not so that you'd notice unless you were really looking to pick holes.
Mason kindly sent me a few, and I've used some of them - they include quite a wide selection of Tudor-ish / landsknecht style flat hats, with and without adornment... For instance:

Not sure how easy these are to get hold of, but I guess an appeal for spares here on LAF might yield a few donations to further youur project  :)

The ones i have are from the militia box if they are of any use. Just pm me if you want.
