Lovely work, nice natural poses, the clothing hangs just right and the painted sample is stunning.

Oooh very tasty Stuart. Obviosuly you don't need those GW Empire hats, because your own from Green Stuff look the absolute mutt's nuts!  :-*

Quite so.  I love the way the brims bend around the faces. And the hats look like they've been crammed on tightly so they don't slip off in the heat of the action.  Lovely as always.
Now what is this whole life of mortals but a sort of comedy, in which the various actors, disguised by various costumes and masks, walk on and play each one his part, until the manager waves them off the stage?

Here's batch 2 and a painted figure from batch 1.

If you're interested in the sculpting process here it is step by step;

No problem Darrell, give it a go and keep going, I learned a few tricks along the way and it felt like I got a little bit better with each one I generally had 3 on the go so you don't waste any green stuff.

The last chap (below) I'm particularly pleased with, he has a Wolf Hall look about him, I think I'll paint him in black.

Amazing stuff. I've been trying to put aside an hour a day to do some sort of sculpting/converting but time sometimes slips away.......

An update and request;

I've got my mitts on some Perry plastic Ansar as the bare heads are perfect for sculpting cloth caps, the bodies great as a starting point for the coat and I can sculpt the bear paw oxmuhle shoes. That and the mercenary and WOTR arms are a perfect fit.

I'm a happy bunny  :D

Do you know of any other plastics with bare heads or almost bare bodies?

Cue giggles and chortles for my need for naked bodies !

Thanks again

Stuart

You don't happen to live near Durham do you? I'm more than happy to take lessons and I'm not kidding!!??

The first ACW Infantry sets for sure. There will almost certainly be others but I only bought the ACW sets to see what the quality was like- from then on, I just bought what I need.
