Excellent pictures and a great blog - simply stunning.

It reminds me of the Crobern / Mockern 1813 diorama's but I have to say you have the nicer figures!!

One question - who makes the buildings?

Thank you!

@Emir of Askaristan: The buildings are specially made for this game by Najewitz Modellbau. They are now available in 1/72 and 28mm: http://www.lasermodellbau.de/index.php/en/

Excellent - the scenes look so realistic. You have got a good mass of figures in the unit photos, and lots of details in the vignettes.

How big are the terrain boards, in the first few photos? (or how big is the overall table)

Absolutely outstanding work, Frank!  :D 8)

Just out of curiosity, how long have you been working on this project?

It took some time. I made the gameboard, terrain and buildings within the last 3 month. Most of the work was of course painting the miniatures. We will have around 1.800 on the table! We already had 1.000 miniatures in our collection, so we had to do the rest over the last half year.

Oh such stunning work!  Wonderful.  Proper sized battalions, brilliant painting and amazing terrain.  My first love that I've never found a way back to.  Well done Frank!  :-* :-* :-*
