I just received both of the Ancient Navies books from the Voyages D'Alix series and the Illustrations are excellent references for this period, both naval and land.

Rui, I've read a few of these in English and they are really nicely done with a great story.

I shall have to muddle through the French with my schoolboy language skills (or lack of). Don't mind as the illustrations are really excellent.

Hi, new to the forum, but a bit of an academic specialist in Kilikians/Cilicians of the late Hellenistic period - i.e. the period you're talking about.

There are no certain images of Kilikian pirates. In general they could be hypothesised as looking generically 'Hellenised' - i.e. a chiton of some description, with or without sandals. No evidence of any form to suggest a Phrygian cap would have been worn by folks south of the Taurus.

We do have depictions of other Taurus highlanders like Pisidians and Lykians, and the Kilikians were probably quite similar by this stage in history.

Pisidian slinger from Selge (slightly earlier)

Pisidian mercenary by the name of Dioskourides

Tarkondimotos I Philantonios, king of Upper Kilikia, 39-31 BC

Ajax, high priest of Olba (with trappings of Hermes), AD 10-15ish

As has been suggested above, a generic looking thureophoros figure would probably fit the bill if you want them armed.

Here is my Song of Shadows and Dust faction which are loosely based on my take on Kilikian pirates (ashore, with their women, in the big city, and with a Thracian bodyguard...)

Frank, indeed they are great books.
Poiter50 both Alix and The eagles of Rome are worth buying for inspiration for our games.
