Are the Eagles of Rome a series? Links?

I received 21 of the Alix books, working my way through the cities ones as well as the costume and Navy ones. After that, it will be the story books.

Frank, indeed they are great books.
Poiter50 both Alix and The eagles of Rome are worth buying for inspiration for our games.
Eric, can you put here the available titles of Alix navy books please? I cannot find them.

The Eagles of Rome are indeed a series of books and from what i know there are 4 in portuguese language but dont know if there are more written in other languages.
About links you can find some in amazon uk for sure and probably in other amazon sites and languages.
I would advise you search the editors and see if they have any representative distribution near you.
Since its translated to several languages i´m almost sure they are easy to find. If you cant just pm me and i will try and find them.

There is also a series of comic books called Vae Victis (not to confuse with the miniatures magazine) but more related to Gaul and Caesar period. However they also are an inspirational sorce.

Vae Victis comics are great but for adult onlu. lots of violence and sex.....
if i remeber ther is 16 tomes....i have all of it
Same author than the "Zoulouland" comics about the war of 1879 . Editor is "Soleil Production"

Mad Doc and all the others, in all my threads people are free to express opinions and put whatever info they have for that also brings a database inside LAF for all we to complete our collections and read a little more.
So feel free to do it.

Irregular Wars Nic, i didnt associate with SSD before but although i´ve never tried the rules because i dont have an oponent i´m anctious to do it and its a lovelly set. You are also an inspiration for my gangs.

Poiter50, the books are worth buying although they specified for the Teutoburg disaster they also have some very usefull info in roman buildings, forts, army and scenarios.

Yesterday i came across a new series of Alix (Alix Senator). Diferent drawings more for the type of The Eagles of Rome. Worth checking.

Have to agree. I recently found 21 of them on Ebay (one item) and was lucky enough to win them at around $10 ea including post. As building references, they are superb and the stories aren't bad at all.

Now something appart from the books and returning to the main subject.

My cilician pirates so far. The look i wanted on the miniatures was of diferent men/races/origins (with diferent weapons), from local helenistic to freed slaves who joined the pirates. So far these are my choices.
Again, opinions and ideas are welcome.

May be some roman weapons/shields to add to complete the job.
