Some 28mm figures for various games that my grandchildren and I will be playing later this year.  Ideas for additions to the armies are welcome.

Looking at these photos I see that my eyesight and painting skill seem to be departing and I am nowhere near as good as I used to be.   They are fine using the 1 metre rule.

Flags, standards and heraldry to follow.

The army of Santa Claus/Father Christmas will be themed around red and green (mainly)

The Christmas Game
The Claus Family

The Claus family retainers and workshop staff

Santa's Elf militia

Santa's ally - Snow white and her 7 dwarfs

The army of Jack Frost and the Frost Princess (I'll probably think up a better name later) will be in the cold colours of blues, white ad grey.

The Frost Princess and the Frost Goblin Thief

Frost Goblin archers

Frost Goblin polearms

Frost Goblin swords

UBERCOOL STUFF! As some one who is drifting into Twisted faerie Tales myself, your creations have an appreciative audience in moi. They are all SPLENDID little pieces, but the Santa with bazooka, & Snow White are especially so. GREAT & INSPIRING WORK!

Imaginative and fun idea! I love the army themes. Maybe a snowmonster such as the Bumble from the Rudolph stop-motion shows?

Sound like the games will be a great time, looking forward to more,

Now that I am aware of him I'll keep a lookout for a suitable toy.

Thanks.

I have painted the bazooka in the style of a chocolate Yule Log cake just for fun.

Excellent work there....and some really nice old figures from Ral Partha. Nice to see some Irregular Dwarfs as well, an unsung manufacturer IMO.

Very cool idea!  I like the color choices you made for the ice baddies.  Will watch this thread.

Very creative. This December I was working on a similar game I'm planning, Wadda Ya Know Eskimo. One thing that improved my presentation was consciously keeping greens and browns off the bases and terrain. I only used the whites, blues and grays like your goblin foes. It really made for an icy appearance on the table.

Another fun faction might be Cobblestone Inuit. My game includes a lot of polar bears and polar bear chariots. Huskies. Converted Arctic sleds. A Yeti or two. Winter Wolves... the old D&D plastics. My main building is an oversized igloo. I have a Reaper sled in 28mm with Sophie driving. I have yet to convert it, but it obviously could be Santa's war wagon. An idea I am considering is the Reaper Bones Cthulhu with a Santa cap breaking up through the ice. Frozen Cpt. America? (HeroClix cast in resin.) A Soviet periscope with Mulder and Sculley popping out? ...I have seen the figures, but not sure where.

Yes I've seen them but cannot find a supplier in UK.  The cost from USA is prohibitive.
