One thing that improved my presentation was consciously keeping greens and browns off the bases and terrain. I only used the whites, blues and grays like your goblin foes. Another fun faction might be Cobblestone Inuit. My game includes a lot of polar bears and polar bear chariots. Huskies. Converted Arctic sleds. A Yeti or two. Winter Wolves... the old D&D plastics. My main building is an oversized igloo. I have a Reaper sled in 28mm with Sophie driving. I have yet to convert it, but it obviously could be Santa's war wagon. An idea I am considering is the Reaper Bones Cthulhu with a Santa cap breaking up through the ice. Frozen Cpt. America? (HeroClix cast in resin.) A Soviet periscope with Mulder and Sculley popping out? ...I have seen the figures, but not sure where.

Excellent ideas - the only reason they have green bases (just now) is that I've not decided on the final "battleground" yet - it may be white (a sheet over my table) or they may have to fight on my green table.

Painted these and so might fit them in

I just did as well - strange indeed. But then I have some gingerbread men figures hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"Snow White" is an old Citadel figure - a witch with cat I think. Had it for years in my Medieval Civilians box.

My son gave me some figures for Christmas 2013 and I decided to paint them up as a school party from St Intoxicato's School. If anyone has a better name for the school I'm open to suggestions.

The school selected a group of girls and staff to go on a long cultural exchange. "The longer the better," murmured Miss Terchance the spinster Head Mistress as she waved off the most troublesome staff and pupils.

The staff:

Some very small figures found in the bottom of a box have become Santa's tiny elves. These little chaps are not of much fighting value but they are excellent scouts and couriers! (Does anyone know who makes (made) them as I could do with a few more?)

A couple of characters - Zorter Notiunnize with his Yule Log Book of all the naughty and nice girls and boys and Puppy Furlife the dog handler.

The three shorter elves look like they might be some old Minifigs strip figures, either from their old fantasy range(gnomes?) or from a 15mm range.

They may well be Minifigs - they have that sort of look.
