Recommended paint shade for SCW Guardia Civil?
« on: February 15, 2015, 12:34:41 PM »
I am painting some GC and was unsure of a precise shade to slap on them. I was thinking of going with Vallejo 920 German Uniform as a base and going from there.

The figures are 20mm Liberation and have a cross belt with a cartridge case rather than the suspender straps arrangement. Would the cross belt be the same buff leather as the suspenders or a darker shade?

Any tips welcome!

Looks like the cross belt would be that odd yellowish buff colour
I used Vallejo Cockpit Green on my 28mm figures, but I reckon the German Uniform colour would work better with 20mm figs

On my Guardia I used German Uniform for the tunic and trousers and US Tan Earth for the belts:

All the colours I used are here: http://scrivsland.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/guardia-civil.html
