Across The Dead Earth, Bedford Campaign finale!!!
« on: January 06, 2015, 06:42:36 PM »
A while ago we played our last game in the ADE campaign  :'(!!!!
We both had a real blast and decided to do something special this time, three special rules were in force, Divided Forces, Boobytraps and Hidden Enemies.

Divided Forces: Each gang decides in secret which gangers attack the enemy HQ and which stay at home in defence, hidden from view.

Boobytraps: On a separate hand drawn map you place three markers, signifying a booby trap. If an enemy comes within 3" of it, announce Trap and they roll Skill. On a successful roll they spot the trap and they avoid it, removing it from the game. On a failure, the trap goes off and roll 2D6 straight up.

2-6 Target is KO
7-12 Target is OOA (ie Dead!!!)

Hidden enemies: At the start of each scenario the defenders are allowed to be placed anywhere on the table in cover hidden, as long as at least 12" from the attackers starting point. If an enemy moves within 6" of a hidden enemy, roll vs Skill. On a success they discover the ambusher, on a failure they don't. If a hidden enemy attacks they are revealed, but gain +1 to Hit due to the ambuscade.

We had a real blast and it was great fun to play the gang from 5 Yobs armed with knives only through six games and see how far they've come, we had leaders, sharpshooters, grunts and guns  :D.

At the end of the game, one Duffer (Olga) had gone to the hunting grounds leaving four members alive and well. The Skins on the other hand had suffered losses of all but their sharpshooter, leaving one member alive. Thusly, Bedford was seized by the Duffers and ruled with an iron fist... at least till someone else came and kicked us out  lol

I think the next ADE is in the future, next up is Song of Fur and Buttons (with Dinosaurs) methinks and possibly some All Things Zombie as well.

Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it. I have recently started up an All Things Zombie solo campaign, also set in Bedford that you might want to check out too  ;)
