Anyone else ever read "Poe must Die" by Marc Olden?
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:28:10 PM »
A short time ago I read that Idris Elba was trying to adapt the book "Poe must Die" into a series of films. Being a transplant to Baltimore a great many years ago I felt compelled to give it a read & I must say so far it's pretty damn kooky in all the right ways. The general crux of the story is the great bareknuckle fighter James Figgs teaming up with Poe to stop a cult leader/evil wizard from unleashing hell on earth. Suffice to say there's a great deal of gaming potential in the story (if anyone would ever make a 28mm Poe  ::)). Anyway if anyone is looking for a fun light read I encourage you to give it a try.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Read this many years ago and completely agree, a great story well told and it would make a great RPG scenario.

Echoing that!

Did Mr. Elba come to explain how he became interested in the project?

Off topic, but is there any love for Cusack in The Raven? Started it on Netflix, found it intriguing, but never finished.

I fear it may have telegraphed a bit too much.

Never know until I do finish.  :D

What? NO! I did NOT say 'nevermore...'  lol

Finished it, a bit long but still good.
