Rules!

Written by Steve Hardy, Warband provides all the rules you need to bring great battles between fantasy armies to your tabletop.

Using miniature figures and terrain, you can fight battles from the glorious sword and sorcery epics you've read about.
You can play games against your friends or competitive battles against worthy opponents. Whilst the rules have been written with the 10mm Pendraken Miniatures ranges in mind, there's no reason why you can't use other scales as well!

Figures!

As well as the rules, we have also now released our first two revamped Fantasy ranges, with the Goblins and the Hill Dwarves now available!

These new ranges are huge improvements on the old ones, adding not only new sculpts but also more variety to every pack. So much variety in fact, that a pack of foot now contains 25 individual figures, each one different to the last. From different weapons and headgear, down to added cloaks, beards and pouches, we've gone for maximum variation within every single pack!

Bases, Movement Trays and Gaming Aids!

As well as the rules and the figures, we've got a range of extra bits and bobs to help your games along!

The recommended basing size is 100x50mm bases, which are available in packs of 10 for £2. The ruleset allows you to use other base sizes of course, but we've also got a range of movement trays available for those wanting to use their existing armies: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Warband-Fantasy-c36/Bases-Movement-Trays-sc321/, priced at only 50p per movement tray. (If you need a different tray size, just drop us a line and we can cut it as a custom job for you, no problem!)

As well as those, we've also created some handy tokens for tracking the hits on your units. And finally, all of the units in Warband rely on their Morale to stay in play. If it loses all of it's morale, then that unit will rout and is potentially out of the game unless you can save it! We've had a fantastic response to the revamped Fantasy ranges to go with our new Warband rules, so it's now time to launch the first batch of revamped monsters! First up, we've got the Elementals and Ogres, which have all been given the Techno treatment, adding more poses and detail to the give as much variety as possible.

After a bit of a delay after the big run of shows recently, we're very happy to now be able to release our new Warband Barbarians! Techno has done an excellent job on these, and as with the Goblins and Hill Dwarves, you're getting complete variety across all of the packs, with no too figures being identical. Alongside that, we've got revamped Mammoths, Catapults and Icarusi (the last of which we haven't got a pic of yet!)

Following on quickly from these will be the next batch of Monsters, including Scorpions, Spiders and Bats, and then we'll be raising the Undead!

In advance of the next Warband range (Undead - coming soon!) we've got a few more codes of Monsters ready and available on the website. This release includes new Giants (painted by Szymon D), giant Spiders and Scorpions, and also revamped Bat Swarms. (The Bats come with clear rods and circular bases included, as pictured.)

Not planned at the moment as they don't feature in the Warband rules. We're not too keen on the sculpting style of them ourselves, so we would like to revamp them at some point in the future, but it would probably be a couple of years down the line.

We're starting to gain some momentum on the Warband releases, so we're kicking off August with the release of the new Undead range!

As with the other new Warband ranges, each foot pack contains 25 different sculpts, giving as much variety as possible in your units. The riders are also all different figures, plus we've got brand new command and necromancers. Rounding out the rest of the range are revamped catapults, ballistae and catapults, plus some new wraiths and zombies for those wanting something a little different in their armies!

Following on quickly from the Undead release, we've got another of our new Warband ranges all sorted and ready to go, and this time it's the High Elves!

As with all of the Warband ranges, all of the packs contain maximum variety, so 25 different sculpts in the foot packs and 12 in the cavalry. Techno has also done us some excellent new command and mage figures, the latter including a rather nice runestone. On the artillery side, we've got both bolt shooters and catapults, plus some chariots bringing up the rear.

Finishing up our hat-trick of new Warband ranges during August, we've now got the highly anticipated Taurians ready to go!

The previous Minotaur ranges had a nice variety of poses, so Techno has made some minor tweaks to these to make them all slightly different. The Centaurs on the other hand have been completely overhauled, with more pose variation, more weapons, and also better bows! And to finish the range off, we've got some excellent new Command and Shaman packs, including a fantastic bull-head runestone!

It's been a while since our last new Warband range, but we've now got the Wood Elves all moulded and released!

As with all Warband ranges, the packs contain maximum variety, so 25 different sculpts in the foot packs and 12 in the cavalry. These new packs contain a lot more new sculpts, plus some oft-requested longer bows as well! And we've also got new command and mage groups, including a special tree stump and 'Sciuridae, the squirrel of Power'...! (If you prefer your stumps a little less rodenty, you can knock him off with the flick of a craft knife.)

Slightly later than planned due to the Painting Competition, we've got the next new Warband range, with the Lizardmen all ready and released! A few lucky folks got their hands on these at last weekends Hammerhead show and we'll also have them with us at both WMMS and Triples later this month.

Our new Warband packs all contain maximum variety, so 25 different sculpts in the foot packs and 12 in the cavalry. Techno has done some excellent work on these and really made each one unique. The new command and shamans are excellent as well and will look great painted up for Warband.
