Kings Mountain Virginia Militia
« on: February 19, 2015, 08:12:05 AM »
Here is my Virginia Miltia, made from a mixture Kings Mountain Continentals and Over Mountain Men. I wanted the unit to be filled with tough Ex-Continentals, who had been summoned to fight at Cowpens and later battles in the Southern Campaign.

I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. I just need to finish up the command stand to complete the unit. The figures were painted by John Bryant and Roger Boschetto. I did the basing and took the photos. I also own Kings Mountain Miniatures, by the way, who made all of the figures.
Next up will either be Philladelphia Associators or a converged Maryland/Delaware unit.

Yes, they are 28 MM figures. Basing is my strong suit and I try to portray what American fields really look like. Not smooth grass all billiard table green.

frustrating isn't it? Don't take in personally, it happens to (almost) everyone, myself included. I guess most people just come here to look at pictures and nothing more.

I think your bases are incredibly realistic! well done. the style of the figures isn't really my taste to be honost but as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder  8)

I like the look of your figures.
Are you planning to game the battle?

I have no plans to game the battle. I am not a gamer. I just enjoy recreating battle scenes in miniature.
