Most recent project --- alternative ruleset for sci-fi
« on: February 20, 2015, 01:18:49 AM »
So this Saturday I'll be doing a demo of a project a buddy and I have been working on for the past 9 months or so for our local historical gaming group in Charlotte.

When 40K 6th edition dropped, we started looking for alternatives since we didn't like the game in it's current state.  Also, we were getting tired of the tournament army builds an wanted to do something more "tactical"

So, we took inspiration from some really great systems out there that "almost" did it for us (Disposable Heros, Force on Force, 40K, Bolt Action, SOTR, etc...) and developed our own ruleset...

The intent is to have a ruleset that wil work with sci-fi, moderns and WW2 minis.

I'm currently working on putting the finishing touches on the point costing system and should have that up soon.

I would love to hear feedback from this group as well...

Here's a link to the PDF.

Downloaded it and gave it a look over. I like what I'm seeing so far. Might have to give it a go.

I'll give these a once over also.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Just quickly read through them, and there's a lot of instantly familiar stuff in there. Great work; I think this might turn out to be a good and rugged universal rules set!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to use them, but I hope I will...
