Finally got around to finishing my horse archers. They are Fireforge Mongols on Gripping Beast Arab horses ( Their original horses are being used elsewhere....). I'm a bit peeved that the varnish has gone a bit patchy with white residue here and there. It's difficult to see with the naked eye but the camera doesn't lie!!!

That's my Russians pretty much done, although I might get some plastic Fireforge Russians when they are released.

Gorgeous work! I've never ever been tempted to do medieval Russians... up to now that is  ;)

Fantastic work, the whole army looks really good. You've struck a nice balance of making the minis colourful but not garish.

The horse archers on the GB Arab horses really work. One thing that I didn't care for in the FF Mongols was that the horses looked too big to be steppe ponies.  To me these are much nearer the mark in terms of scale. The dynamic poses of the archers also  work  very well.

Beautifully painted models.  I love the patterns on the shields and the spots of rich colour.  I need to find me some of those men on foot.

Thank you for the comments.
When I've got time I'll post some pics of the complete army.

Lovely stuff. :-*

Regards the white spots with the varnish. Give them a coat of gloss varnish then re do with matt varnish and the misting should disappear :)
