Hasslefree troopers
« on: February 21, 2015, 07:32:48 PM »
I've been working my way through some of Hasslefree's trooper types recently (a commission job) and have been posting my progress over on Facebook (link in my sig.). The WIP images are all linked from FB and I think they've gotten a little compressed but never mind, I'll do 'proper' pics when everything is done.

Six troopers done so far, two more to go and then a handful of characters, plus a few non-HF models too.

Lovely smooth finish there. Especially fond of the grey and faces.

My god - beautiful. So smooth. Fantastic transitions and edge highlighting, but it's the stripes of colour against the grey that make the models for me. Well, that, and the faces on the two women who are not wearing helmets. The girl in the blue armour in particular is superb.

I like both variants - the grey ones have the miltaristic 'unit'-feel, while the coloured ones makes me think 'corporate' of 'free-lance/merc'.

In a future where military-grade is available commercially, standard suits would probably be available in different colouring styles, just like sports gear, cars, and other gear.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Blimey O'Reilly. Jaw, meet floor. Pretty much what Hawkeye said - the colours, the stripes, the blending... Altogether dazzling.

Superb brushwork.  Excellent shading on the armor.  I am simply in awe.

Wow, I hadn't really rated those minis as something I might want to pick up until I saw these paint jobs, looks like that's something else to go on the Salute shopping list then!
