As if I didn't have enough to do........
« on: February 23, 2015, 03:37:54 PM »
....... Lion Rampant popped through my letterbox today!

Watch this space for possible Wars of the Roses/Cousins War, Burgundian, French, Swiss maybe even Italian Wars action!!

All this will feature on my Gewalthaufen Blog:

http://gewalthaufen.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/as-if-i-didnt-have-enough-to-be-going.html

(I've included a pic of the book just to be proper and a pic of some archers gear that may actually be of some use- of course this is on my blog as well as some literature  ;))

I picked it up for fantasy games and it looks very straight forward set of rules and ideal to use if building large armies as a mid point to get the figures on the field

I've not tried it myself, but I think you could actually play LR with some reasonably sized armies. The additional time required is likely to be the main factor, rather than the ability of the rules to handle it.

Burgindian...

Was that excitement, or has your research turned up some new terminology?  :D

Yep, got to fish out the mini's (long story) unless I use the plastic Perry Dismounted Men at Arms as a starter(?).

Decisions......  :)

Have played a couple of games and am building a norman retinue. Scenarios are fun but beware the command roll ! It took me eleven rolls to get my mounted men at arms to move on a 7+ !!!!!!!!  :-[
