That said before I go buy the full set are there any rules for heavy armor such as the type that the Incursion soldiers wear (big chunky power armor) and cavalry?
With Pulp Alley, you'll simply want to look through the ability list to find the ones that fit your character ideas.
> To represent big chunky armor, I'd probably pick the 'Big' ability.
> To represent cavalry, I usually take the 'Speedy' ability - or use the
Mount rules from our
Gadgets, Guns & Vehicles book.
Also, if you have Gadgets, Guns & Vehicles, be sure to check out the rules for flying characters/mounts.
And if you are going for more of a sci-fi setting we also recommend that you add one extra starting ability to all characters. This can help define the characters a little better and represent the extra gizmos, mutations, and whatevers.
I hope that helps. Have fun!
