If there are still places next weekend I'll be in. the first three rounds are painted up, just need to set up my space for taking pictures .I moved a few months ago and didn't yet get around to it, but the LPL is a good reason to give it priority.
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Pretty sure you'll be fine by next weekend  :)

I know how you feel. I've painted lots of figures for the LPL - taking the photos is actually the difficult bit!  ::)

14 entrants.
36 places remaining.

May I also take this opportunity to remind all entrants and potential entrants:

'To help us with administration, please also put your user name, team name and intended round in the mail header. (e.g. "SamSamplename Crusader_Cavalry  Round 2" and, if possible, in the file name (e.g. "SamSamplename_crusader_cavalry_rd2.jpg").
This is useful essential for keeping track.'

Thank you  :)

aye, Captain

You prefer to have the entries seperately? Beside the first 3 ones, I mean. I may send in my fourth one again.

best wishes

A suggestion for you, Richard: Big thing for Round 10? A really immense Venus von Willendorf with Rachel Welsh type cave women throwing themselves around it in a passion?

There's a trend to call these figures 'Women of... " rather than 'Venuses' going around in Art History and Archaeology circles.

I'm not taking a stand on that by the way ;)

This one from Kostenki is a little ominous, I interpret the lines as restraints:

Sorry for the digression, I can't help myself...

Back on topic I have 3 of 15 figures done more or less, so it will be a race to the deadline (as usual) for me.

a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Nice artefacts.

Matt, I hope you are able to make it. Wouldn't be the same without you :)

Peder, I don't know if you're back painting at the moment, but if you are, I'm ready for my annual trouncing at your hands ;)

Debating whether to do a scenic backdrop or keep them white (most of my entries will be of a similar theme).

cheers
