I recently received my order of Volitgeurs, Indians and Canadian Militia.
They are exquisite sculpts.

A whole bunch of Janissaries should be headed my way as we speak/type. I'm not overly worried about the quality of the sculpts  ;)

just arrived

Perry, BG, Foundry, BG
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Perry and BG do indeed appear quite close in size and sculpting style. Hmmmmm......

Thanks for the scale shot, they'll do just fine :)

I wonder if the Brigade Games head sets will fit on the Perry plastic British infantry set figures? If so, we can get Marines just with the new heads.

Also possible are Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles with the light battallion heads and some sanding off of the line infantry lace.

And lastly, 1812 American line infantry would be possible with the appropriate set of heads and US knapsacks, if Brigade made them.

Re the GLI; unless you really want to do a conversion may I suggest Old Glory or Knuckleduster. I have both and they are very nice figures.

I also wonder if BGs will eventually produce some GLI figures?

The benefit to modding the Perry stuff is the variety of figures and poses you could build.

Re Brigade: I guess if the range sells, they will. They just added Les Voltigueurs Canadiens, who are the Quebecois equivalent of the Glens, I guess.

Understood, and I admire your conversion ambitions.

Yes, the Voltigeurs are indeed the rough equivalent of the GLI.  It certainly would be great if BGs does produce some GLI.

Please keep us posted on your conversion progress.

These are the ex-Victrix metal heads and command figures which BG have been carrying for several years now. They're designed to fit on the Victrix plastic Napoleonic British. I know a lot of people intermix the Perry and Victrix Napoleonic sets, so I'm guessing they would fit okay.

Suggesting the addition of a proper pack of metal Royal Marines to Lon and Paul might be a good idea, all the more so as I recall Lon stating his intention to expand his Napoleonic naval ranges further. Paul wouldn't even need to do command figures since they already exist, and Royal Marines would be most useful for War of 1812 landing parties, especially the Chesapeake campaign operations of 1813-1814.

More French naval officers and sailors wouldn't go amiss either, and I'd certainly buy some Egyptian campaign Légion Nautique if BG did some - by which I mean proper Légion Nautique in their distinctive red jackets and not the sailors BG currently sells under the Légion Nautique label.
