Escape from Nottingham Castle - Salute 2015 7th Voyage game
« on: March 03, 2015, 08:19:24 PM »
Here's a quick look at the 7th Voyage Quick Play Game for Salute. Taken from our Once and Future supplement, the games sees Robin Hood and his Merry Men attempt to escape from the clutches of the evil Sheriff. Here are the shots of the board built by TM Terrain very much inspired by Jim Bibbly's castle build for his BLAM games. Extra buildings are from my PMC collection.

Very cool looking set up. How did you modify the old GW front gate?

Ta all.

The Merry Men are the old GW Brettonian Bertrand the Brigand set. The Normans are a mix of Reaper (Sheriff), Fireforge and Crusader.

The carpets and other market pieces are from the Scotia Grendel Fantasy Bazaar (F0048) - still a brilliant range after all these years.

Jim Bibbly did a Nottingham Castle for a BLAM game, so we based it on that design. It was just a case of cutting through the Gatehouse at an angle and then patching with filler - but that hard word was all done by David Marshall at TM Terrain! I got the GW parts off e-bay cheap as it was prebuilt. That also meant the doors were glued on the outside of the upper floor of tower, hence the balconies.
