VSF Scooter - well, some kind of...
« on: October 10, 2008, 10:47:14 PM »
I am a great fan of Eurekas Armoured Pennyfarthings, since they offer a lot of conversion potential. So I wondered myself how a VSF scooter might look. Here are some WIP pics of it.

Basically, the top was chopped and carved out, addition of some new rivets, some photoetched hinges and a little bit of sheet styrene. The wheels were donated by a 15mm Rolls Royce Armoured Car. I hope you like it...

I like.  Those penny farthings are nice.  You're making me wish I hadn't already made mine as it was designed to be made. :(

Very nice.
The basis of the body is the armoured penny farthing by Eureka?

Noooo....

Not more outrageously inventive contraptions...

Please stop, I can't take much more of this.   o_o

Nice conversion, btw.   ;)

So now you've got your Mod, will you be making an armoured Harley Davidson for the Rocker opposition? lol

Outstanding.  :-*

But, you need a red one and a blue one, and you can play Steam-Tron. That would be brilliant...

I've seen a sci-fi bike with a nice retro-touch. I can't remember, where. But this one could pass as a Rockers mount. Quadrophenia in a VSF London - how cool would this be? All those possibilities: Clashing with Prussian cavalary, stealing your pills from Dr. Jeckyll... lol lol lol

Outstanding.  :-*

Cool idea, too. lol lol lol

Thanks for your kind comments, guys!

Very nice and although my own VSF contraptions are not always logical  :D, I wonder how the guy gets out when the vehicle is stopped without it falling over?  Perhaps two little sidewheels to be lowered from the inside would do the trick (they wouldn't actually have to work on the model though).  Just a suggestion for an otherwise great model.  Someone should manufacture a machine like that!

The same thoughts occured to me, Rudi. There is a stand on the underside, which might be lowered from the inside. Sadly the pictures doesn't show it.
In fact, the "logical" hole is big enough to let a Landship slip through... lol
