Oh I love the apes and most of the range, I just don't like the dancing elf.

Ah, he's reposed the figure. It does look better but I still think it looks like an elf.

This is a great range. My cave men have just arrived (they're going to be primitives in my AGON game) and I'll get the apes at some point too once I've worked out what I'm going to do with my Tarzan set now my Nazis have been sold off.
The Atlantean poses with the spears don't work for me though (and I dislike their shields which is easily fixed) so I'll probably pass on them.
Amazons, on the other hand...

I'm clearly in the minority but I love the Atlanteans. I think they look sufficiently classical with the right amount of fantasy. They capture the feel of an organised militaristic society that would be the dominant race in the world of amazons, apes and cavemen.

So for me, bring forth the Atlanteans! ............and loads more apes......please.

I've had the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon chief for a while.
Got my cro-magnons,simians, and a couple jaguar warriors today.

Must say the sculpting and casting is some of the best quality.

I was a little disappointed with the size of the Cro-Magnon hunters, they are a little shorter and slighter than the chieftain and Neanderthals. Not a big deal but the whole group I'm putting together also has Copplestone cavemen and old Grenadier barbarians and they are as large as the Cro-Magnon chief so I was hoping for more continuity.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the jaguar warriors.I was thinking they would be small for some reason but they scale well considering  as they have less "clothes" on.

All in all I'm very happy :) and will be getting the rest of the jaguar warriors amongst others.

PS I'd like to see the simians "scaled up" for guys like me who want more human sized apes.I'm not using them as chimps but apemen.

I picked the Simians and the Neanderthals up at Salute. Great sculpts. Had to resist others due to cash flow.......

If I ever made it to salute I think I would have similar cash flow problems, even if I earned mega bucks.

Very nice stuff and I really can see a use for the simians in some of my planned projects.
