Hey all,

I was just wondering if anybody found any updates for the Captain Alatriste miniatures that were being done in Spain (I think)?

Hi!

Not for the same company, but in TMP has been announced this one for another spanish company:

http://www.javiko.com/index.html

It not say that is Alatriste, but clearly he is... beautiful miniatures.

I have not play in this era, but I couldn't resist buying one  ;D

Yes, beautiful figures, but would be no good for gaming. Far too fragile  :(

At 16 Euros plus 5 for postage and the extreme likelihood that at least one of the rapiers will break, that's enough reason to go for a sturdier option. If I was a good painter, I might well buy the set for display purposes as they are beautifully done. Sadly I'm no better than average, so it would be scarce funds wasted, I'm afraid.

And no, of course I don't use mallets!

Like all right-thinking people I use 15 pound sledgehammers to perform all my delicate manouvres. After a few whiskeys, my breath can melt resin.
