Hi all!

After collecting some info on the net, I started to scratchbuild some of these anti-tank obstacles.
Dimensions are for 28mm/1:56 models.
In half an hour I assembled 5.

The materials needed are:

1)   Thick card (cereal box)
2)   PVA glue
3)   Scissors
4)   Modelling knife

1)   Cut 3 strips 37 x 5 mm and 2 squares 10 x 10 mm (actually the squares should be 3).

2)   Score the strips in the middle, and cut the corners of the squares so to obtain the horizontal and vertical segments 3 mm long. Keep the small triangles, as they’ll be needed later. If you want, you can cut the small V notches nearly at the end of the strips.

3)   Fold the strips along the score, so to obtain a 90° beam, and cut another piece off the squares .

4)   Glue a beam on a “square”

5)   Glue another beam, on the other side, perpendicular to the first.

6)   Glue the second “square”

7)   Glue the last strip.

8)   Glue the small triangles (remember step 2?) to “close” the edges of the beams.

9)   If you like, you can place barbed wire around  the obstacle,  running it in the V notches.

10)   A final coat of PVA to strengthen the card, and voilà! That’s all!!

These could be useful of course in WW2 games, as well as to defend the secret lair of your favourite evil boss in pulp scenarios!

Hope this helps!
