AAR: Tripping the Next Step in Evolution
« on: March 13, 2015, 10:07:40 PM »
Last night’s game session pitted the fanatical H+ Trans-human Revolutionary Front against New Hong Kong’s finest. The main objective was Radio Free Babylon’s broadcast tower, (“All the righteous Dubs and Dangerous Data they don’t want you to hear.”) with H+ attempting to physically hack the transmitter and broadcast their “Quantum Leap” manifesto.

The NKPD – acting on an informant’s tip – mobilized to prevent the radical post-human faction from disseminating their seditious philosophy and violent call-to-arms.

Cool stuff once again! Also curious on the rules you have written.

Thanks guys. Glad you like it.

Mal - 'Cleared to Engage' is a skeleton of simple game mechanics. I stole and streamlined from a variety of sources, trying to hammer out simple table top wargame rules for people who aren't gamers. (Who seem to comprise the majority of people I game with these days) There's a link in the blog post as well as the left S7 sidebar.

Thanks to Mal for asking, and to you for offering. Have you have them up long?

I recall seeing the title, but deja vu is a dangerous mistress.

Really, it's so long between plays *I* feel like a non-gamer. Simpler the rules, the better. Here's hoping I don't 'lose' them before Friday and use the printer at work.

Beast - pm me your snail mail and I'll mail you a printed copy. I had a batch bound/printed at lulu. (just keep it a 'private project' and Lulu becomes a cheap printing service for stuff like this)

And yeah, they've been at the S7 site for a bit.

Nice report and I enjoyed having a read through your rules. I've also go a homebrew ruleset with a few similar mechanics (mainly weapons stats) but that uses playing cards to inflict damage. Take a look.

Most kind, but the printer at work does fine duty, I've index stock, and we've comb binders to do up proud, if need be. That said, I'm thinking I should get it fine.

Also, with the topic of Wessex's long awaited Aquanef still awaited, I'll be cogitating on possible such variants. Sorry, made no sense.
