Gaming shops in Blackpool?
« on: March 21, 2015, 04:09:17 PM »
What gaming shops are there in Blackpool? I've heard of Who but no idea where it is, Eclipse on Victoria Road, BXS Games on Waterloo Road (opp Royal Oak), Twisted on Market Street, Eclipse in Cleveleys and Tower Models on Cookson Street. Some of these could be computer game shops and the two Eclipse's might be the same one. Anyone know which of these are gaming shops as we know them or if there are any more?
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

The last i heard Tower Models gave up games and are mostly a model train shop.
Who mostly sell collectables and toys etc ,i've found them to be very expensive on everything they sell .
Twisted did do a good range of games but closed down about four years ago.
Victoria rd is in Cleveleys ,from what i remember Eclipse was mostly a computer game store but i have a feeling that they have closed down.
I'm not familiar with BXS but i know the area a friend lives near there i'm sure they would have mentioned it if it sold wargames etc.
There was a model stall on Abingdon st market that sold a few figures but they have closed down.

There's a place in South Shore anout 1/2 a mile from Waterloo rd  but i dont know its name . It;s on Bond St it's a big store sells mostly collectables action figures etc but also does do some games or did the last time i was there.

and there's always GW.

not a great deal of choice as  you can see.
