Well painted and well based.

Nice work.

Even if her face is not to everyone's appreciation, job well done.

Nice.

Yes her face looks like she has some Elfic blood in her veins; but, her father was Zeus, and she was born in an egg! so it's not surprising. :)

The sculpt also emphasizes the making up that we could imagine that this lady could like, and that would be difficult to paint on a more normal miniature face.

I am much more critical about the polearm and helmet of the Amazon female guard, which also looks definitely elvish (and GW elvish! No, seriously, why?)

Part of that might have something to do with the fact that Fitz sculpted a lot of the old metal Dark Eldar, as well as a few of the old Dark Elves as well iirc, when he was working for them many moons ago.   He has a rather long history with Elvish blood it seems.

Its the same with the Wargods Artemis - awesome sculpt but the facial features are perhaps a little harsh...

Painted this lovely sculpt up for Of Gods and Mortals and Wargods.

Beautiful paint job, but I don't really care for the sculpt
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I have painted nearly all of my Trojans now, as you may know from my thread here on LAF.
Just Helen is missing, because I am not sure how to paint her. The in my opinion high quality of the sculpt (including the face) needs some special colour scheme, that up to now I do not have it in mind.
Generally I am quite happy with Fitz's female faces, they have a special touch, call it Elvish if you like, but I like them.

cheers Thomas

P.S. I am a great fan of Mark Copplestone's sculpts, I painted hundreds of them, but I never really like his females...
