Steve bought his lovely collection of 40mm self-cast semi-flats to the club on Tuesday and we had a great game of Maurice

Bonjour,

Absolutely charming!

Have been thinking about dabbling in SYW but had forgotten all about these!

Thanks for bringing them to our attention.

Cheers,

Paul

Lovely and a period that lends itself to them style perhaps more than most.

Thanks chaps, none of my own work I am afraid, but Steve has an excellent blog about his time casting and painting these figures at Lace Wars in Tin

They are lovely and was almost tempted with Steve's offer of a few Russians
"Ho, ho, ho! Well, if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison! How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap, stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!"

Careful, he is like a dealer. It will just be a few Russians at first, the next thing you know you are carting around loads of Really Useful Boxes weighing the best part of a ton.

As said, very charming  :) I remember casting flat Caroleans with my dad when I was a kid. Good times were had.

Thanks for sharing. I'll have to have a closer look at that blog some time.

Fantastic and great to see traditional toy soldiers still battling it out. Really some how catches the flavour of Seven Years War.
