As everyone is gearing up for Gencon, please pause a moment to think about how gut wrenching it must be for our LGBT colleagues to go there knowing that legislation was almost passed making it legal to discriminate against them.  To be blunt, this sucks.  As artists, we have a unique chance to take action to make our peers feel welcome.  This year at Gencon, there will be a special category in the main event called the Rainbow Brush, so that you can use your painting skills to send a message that the painting community is open to everyone.. 

The rules are straight forward – enter pieces which include every color of the rainbow.

 The prizes are awesome.  Manufacturers from all over the world have pitched in to make this one of the best supported painting events at Gencon.

Want to help, but can’t make Gencon?  There will be an online branch of the contest hosted at WAMP.

Want to help, but you don’t have time to paint a mini?  Indianapolis Youth Group is a charity that supports the LGBT kids in Indianapolis.  Here’s a link to a go fund me page, so that you can help those who were most impacted by the spirit of the Religious Freedom legislation:
