Tekumel (more added 11/6/15)
« on: April 11, 2015, 03:30:25 PM »
I've been lucky enough to be commissioned by The Tekumel Project to paint parts of their range, so I thought I'd place them here and then add to them as I get more done.

The Sacrifice. This was my first proper attempt at OSL, so apologies for it being a tad off in places.

Those demon things are AWESOME :o  :-*, I've never seen them listed on their page
What are they called?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I'm calling them "Mara", as suggested by Andrew May, the sculptor. Mara is technically a Buddhist demon. There are also entities known as the "Daughters of Mara". Andrew has sculpted six of them as well. Also not yet on the site -  and not yet molded and cast either, for that matter.

The Mara are $30 for a complete set including separate heads and hands. Tekumel Club discounts apply even though they are part of the part of the "Garden of Kama" range and so not strictly Tekumel.

Bravo Duff!  They picked the right painter to show off their figures.  I was always daunted by the prospect of painting weapons that aren't metal.  You have done a splendid job of sticking to the Tekumel fluff and maintaining realism.
This is my boomstick!

Lovely painting - really showing off these sculpts (and better than my efforts on the same miniatures.)

Actually I think it is The Tekumel Project that is fortunate in having you accept a commission to paint their miniatures. Your brushwork & selection of colors is OUTSTANDING. You show off a LOVELY range of miniature in a most appealing fashion. VERY WELL DONE!

Wow!  Brilliant work on those Tekumel and Garden of Karma models.  I really like the skin tones you used for the Mara they fit in perfectly with the representations I've seen in Eastern art of demons  :)  Superb sacrificial set as well.
