Developing a Campaign World for Epic Heroes
« on: September 13, 2015, 01:39:17 AM »
I've been reading the Epic Heroes book (a fantasy expansion for Brink of Battle) and planning our group's gaming. A lot of games present you with a world and fluff, but this one is very open. I figure a campaign system needs a setting or it will eventually fall apart.

Instead of building a world from scratch, I realized that D&D has already built some great worlds that would play well with Epic Heroes. The one I've decided to use is Forgotten Realms. The warbands could be competing adventurer parties and the skirmishes could take place around some of the many adventures written for FR.

I have ulterior motives for tying a wargame to FR. I have are a couple of RPG friends that might make the transition to skirmish games by using a comfortable setting.

Any ideas on scenarios in the Icewind Dale and Sword Coast areas?
