WW1 minis for WW2 Hungarians - what mixes well?
« on: April 03, 2015, 12:09:59 AM »
So looking to start sourcing minis for my WW2 Hungarian infantry. So far, I've found Brigade Games Austrian infantry to fit the bill for light troops and Great War Late War Germans would do well for regular Honved. Has anyone mixed these two companies' minis? How do they compare in size?

Would also be interested in any recommendations you guys could make. Thanks!

Great War and Brigade Games mix in size fairly well.

To add to the above, Brigade Games does a very nice Schwarzlose Machine Gun (which would have been used by the Hungarians, at least early in the War), and an Austiran mortar and crew.  As I said previously, I have both Brigade Games Austrians and Great War Germans (thinking of doing them up for use in Italy or on the Russian Front 1916 -17), and they are fairly compatible.
