Battle of Mollwitz Wargame
« on: April 19, 2015, 02:47:17 AM »
I completed my solo game of the Battle of Mollwitz - April 10, 1741 - using my own Der Alte Fritz rules, 28/30mm Minden Miniatures Austrians and Prussians. I used the order of battle provided in Charles Grant's The War Game

PRUSSIANS:

9 infantry battalions
4 cavalry squadrons
5 cannon

AUSTRIANS:

6 infantry battalions
8 cavalry squadrons
3 cannon

Check out my blog for the complete battle report with over a dozen pictures of the game:

You can also read the report covering the set up and the first two game turns here:

We re-fought Mollwitz recently, Mollwitz in Northern Virginia, using 30mm Spencer Smith miniatures. Nearest we could get to the original!
