The miniatures come alogn beautifully and I find your first 28mm very good. I'll watch this space and see where you go with the Star Trek stuff.

Scouts rock mate. Question: how do they scale up with WOC?
Now water can flow....or water can crash...be water my friend.

Thank you jimbibbly, Constable Bertrand, Peithetairos and Commander Vyper. I'm having so much fun painting IA figures that I'm not building terrain yet. Even if I finish all the Imperial Assault figures before the next wave comes out I have at least ten more metal WOTC figures to paint. Will this never end?

Commander Vyper: the metal characters are also from WOC, but I'll take a side by side photo soon. Maybe tomorrow.

Peithetairos: I ended up moving the Star Trek sculpting stuff to my old Star Trek thread. I posted the painted finished piece over there.

If you've any bendy woc that would be great.  Failing that a ruler in the shot would be awesome.

The fringed would make an excellent Talon Karde.

Fantastic painting, I like the smooth lines and shading.

Thank you Oldben1. I might have been thinking about Talon Karde when I painted him.

Here are a couple shots for scale of Star Wars figures from different companies.

Left to right: WOTC Metal,   Grenadeir/WEG,   FFG Imperial Assault,   WOTC collectible bendyKnight Models 30mm.

I'd have done all Stormtroopers, but WOTC Metal never made a Stormtrooper, and I haven't assembled my Knight Models group yet. And just for giggles...

Same line up with a Star Wars Command figure in back. If you still want more comparison shots let me know. They'll have to wait till tomorrow though.

Excellent paint job on those Imperial Assault guys - makes me consider getting my own box! Will you be starting on the reb commandos anytime soon?

Thank You CaptainHaddonCollider. It's a nice game that I might actually get to play some day. (Honestly, I just bought it for the miniatures.) I am painting up some of the players right now, and one of them is a Rebel Commando. If all goes well I might have that one done by tomorrow.

Commander Vyper, is this the shot you were looking for?

I took the shot at a lower angle, so the scales are easier to compare. I also set the WOTC bendies on washers so the tops of their bases are roughly on the same level. I couldn't take a true comparison shot of scouts to scouts, because I don't own any WOTC Imperial Scouts.

nice paintings indeed, Michka!!! waiting to see the IA fringe miniatures, sadly for me, are too bigs in comparison to WEG. but i must admit they're good sculpts (or molds) ;)
congrats for your painting!!

Thank you Huesped. I have a huge collection of WEG minis painted already. I too wish they'd match the scale of those, but I'm afraid the days of true 25mm figures is pretty much gone. At least we're getting something better then the super bendy plastic of the collectible game.

I hope FFG considers making metal versions of these figures. Seems like making a Deluxe Collector Series of metal Star Wars minis right now would be like printing money. It would go a long way toward proving they're making a miniatures game instead of a board game.

Very nice painting jobs Michka. :-* :-*
Got my hands on some of those Imperial Assault figures plus some crooked dice and my project jumps. :)
