Kreta - a variation
« on: April 28, 2015, 12:56:47 PM »
I love Crete. I also fell in love with the Grimsby Wargames Kreta project and decided I had to have my own. I duly built buildings, an airstrip, gliders, assembled troops and vehicles, even naval forces. I have just come across slides of some of this old stuff and now have a scanner allowing me to upload it. This is all 20ish years old so be kind.

These are by way of being 'leftovers' as I sent the best slides to Wargames Illustrated with small descriptions asking if they would like to publish. I had had a related article printed by a previous editor. I never got a reply or even an acknowledgement. I sent a follow up letter. Nothing.
I wrote asking if they would return the slides, enclosing a SAE. I never got an acknowledgement to that either.

I think that lot looks bloody good, 20 years ago or not. I particularly like the scratchbuilt armed trawler. I'd be happy to play with that lot.
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo
