[Commercial] Bartek's Napoleonic pin-up girls playing cards
« on: April 29, 2015, 01:38:28 PM »

Rather than continue to hijack the thread about the commemorative Waterloo playing cards, I thought I'd better start my own thread. :)

The Napoleonic pin-up girls playing cards illustrated by Polish artist Bartek are now back in stock at Fighting 15s. I sold out after Salute, re-ordered Saturday night and Intimo managed to ship them so they arrived today.

The link to them in the shop is: http://www.fighting15sshop.co.uk/playing-cards-913-c.asp

Ideal for card-driven initiative systems, and for distracting your opponent. ;) I will have them at Carronade on 9 May.

If the Napoleonic deck sells well, I hope that Bartek and Intimo will be able to fund the 17th century deck that is ready for print.

How many did you bring to Salute? I bet you could sell the shit out of them at Historicon if the price is right.

I took just over 40 decks to Salute - I'd already sold some of the initial order of 48 by mail order. The cost of getting me to Historicon just to sell playing cards isn't attractive. The cards have VAT on them in the EU, so that means they're roughly 20% cheaper sold online to the US (GBP7.92 ex tax against £9.50 inc tax) because of course my shop removes tax for non-EU destinations.

Bartek is great. I'm doing some translations for him. Got 2 of his ACW babes on T shirts  ;D

Hmmmm, I'd say there should be a commendation for this thread.

I really mean to say, this is well-done and with pics!

I'd love a deck for playing the 95th from Two Hour Wargames.

Kasia (from Intimo) would like me to take the T-shirts too. I'm thinking about it, as the sample I got was very good quality. The issue is the number of designs, although sizes stocked might well be just limited to L,  XL and XXL.  ;)

I will not be branching out into lingerie, though. :D

The print-run for Bartek's Napoleonic pin-up playing cards is exhausted and I will not be able to get any more unless he reprints them. I have just nine blue-backed decks left in stock; the red-backed decks are out of stock.

The playing cards have been phenomenally successful from my point of view. This is a last-chance warning to get a deck while you can.

Although the Napoleonic cards went out of stock soon after I posted the above, I am delighted to say that Bartek's 17th century deck is now ready. I have it on order and will be posting appropriately here once it is in stock.
