Very nice work. Where does the Windmühle come from? It's an interesting piece of terrain.

Captain Blood: Sickers is more of a Stahlhelm type of chap. He mocks my devotion to the Pickelhaube, the ignorant little wretch.

Seeing those pics after last night out is delighting my eyes.
Very nice paintjob. The uniform looks smoothly painted. And painting those knots is magnificent. Very cool. Above all your  perfect German without any accent  :)

It's French today, children. Doomhippie, the moulin à vent is from those nice folks at ESLO.

Maybe a bit pricey, but a nice alternative for those without the time or inclination to be terrain-builders. Goes against the LAF ethos I little, I fancy, but I can't help it. I'm no good at, and do not enjoy, building things. That reminds me, Geländestück is another good word. Two umlauts for the price of one, rendering it utterly impossible for any British person to ever have any hope of pronouncing it correctly.  :)

It's a good word, Grimm. But sometimes not a nice dog. Please do continue to use it. It is funny when you shout it on the forum for no reason.  :)

Oh alright then a bit more.

I like that windmill very characterful.

the figures are jolly well done too , the wood grain on th erifles is very realistic I try to do that with verying degrees of success.

The helmets faces and backpacks etc are excellent I've strained looking for imperfection but can find none. You are far too critical they look likje little people to me.

Good stuff more than cool. :D

Don't get me wrong, I am pleased with them, Dodge. It's not false modesty, more being hyper-critical of oneself as a way of trying to improve. I wouldn't dare be so critical of others' work, but I think being hard on myself is one way to get better. There are definitely things on these figures that I shall do differently or more carefully on the next batch. Maybe I do overdo the self-criticism a bit, but it is frustrating that they never seem to look as nice in photos as on the table, and it irks me a bit. I think the camera can be a harsh judge.

Grimm, when I was at school there was a game we played on the football field where you had to shout "British Bulldogs!" It was lots of fun, but the school banned it for being too violent.  :)

I think the drive to improve is something that will always be there, I don't think it ever goes.

But just looking at your photo's I can't see anything dodgy just good depth neat lines and really good tones. ;D

I look forward to your next lot  :D
