Forbidden Kingdom, Monkey Magic etc.
« on: October 12, 2008, 12:25:14 PM »
So, I was after some Chines mythological and ancients for 28mm. I'm particularly interested in any mythological ones as per the title. I was a big Money Magic fan when I was a youngster and would like to try and recreate his wild adventures on the tabletop!

Anyone else play with this period?

I've never played a game based on them, but coincidentally, I just bought these guys:

From Black Hat Miniatures. They have a suitably impressive selection of Chinese mythological figures, the Tales of the Dragon Kings range.

Really nice figures.  :)

Jollybob, post some photos when they are painted. They look cool.

I surely will.  :) Might be a while though, a bit busy at present.

I think there might be some painted on Frothers, by Bruenor Odinson. He's been painting the other display ones for Black Hat, so I'd be surprised if he hasn't done these as well. Can't seem to find any on a search though.

MK Miniatures are doing some also. There is a thread on Frothers here http://frothersunite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16265&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
