SAGA: Revenants WIP
« on: May 16, 2015, 10:01:21 AM »

Bit of a odd one these and really takes SAGA away from the Historic to the Myth & Legends side of gaming, even still I was rather pleased when my Wife bought me the LE Revenants set from Gripping Beast for our 5th anniversy gift.

So far I've managed to paint up 6 Zombies, a whole half point heh.. may take awhile to finish.

I have to say first and foremost that some of the sculpts are rather hit and miss with odd details, it reminds me of Bob Olley's work where sometimes you just can't quite tell what a bit of detail is, is it a cloth, skin flap, ribs or something else.

Thankies for looking :)

nice work. Not sure I'd go right away for zombies playing saga but a bit of fantastic may be a nice way to refresh and do something different.  :D

Those do look nice... waiting to see if someone can get some in on this side of the pond to save some cash on shipping.  They seem to be taking their time getting this box set to many of their distributors.

Aye have to love Tamiya clear red mixed with inks, makes blood and gore rather easy and quick :)

Aye these are my 4th 6pt Warband so it's a nice change of pace without it being too out of place. Be nice to play out certain Myths with them :)

I know a few people have had a moan about Rev's but as GB state they are non-cannon and Limited Edition so even if BG go abit more ''fantasy'' it may even more good thing to draw in players dishearten from other games.

Thanks aye GB's shipping is crazy, this set was £8.50 UK postage so I'd hate to see the international cost. They will be worth the wait though :)

Yeah, they charge 25% for international, so it would be somewhere near £20 for postage...  o_o

I just hope they don't discontinue it before I see it available over here.

Heh judging by these pictures on the GB FB page there were plenty made so I wouldn't fear about it being too limited.

Me too, Chico although I add a little flock to add to the gore!
Will try and find a pic
If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

They look great and gory! Can't wait to get mine out, haven't painted undead for years...

I have a stack of them and have been posting to the USA (pop me a PM!)

Cheers

A few more painted, first complete point painted.. this is going to take awhile heh. Bob Naismith work still has that old school feel that I love despite being current minis

Thanks but as the whole force is Levy it may take awhile. My goal is at least 3/4pts painted by the 10th of June (Not including Grave Pits) for a game against some bloody Normans.

Still cracking on with the Revenants, Bob Naismith does some great work but like Bob Olley takes awhile to get used too.

Great Painting, only the blood looks a little bit unrealistic (also my problem). Maybe we should ask Dexter for this.
